Glory Dance
The Story
"Glory Days" tells the story of Buzzards' Glory Dance Hall, a barn dance opened by my great great grandfather, Harvey W Baublitz in 1928. Located in Albanstown, MD, the hall was born out of a shed that grew to meet the demands of the community coping with the Depression. The popularity of the barn dance exponentially grew up to 1942, up until WWII took its toll. Folks from nearby and the city flocked to the estate for nights of square dancing, country music, and a homemade meal. This kind of authentic experience is what I continue to search for in our world today.
